Stockbridge Youth Council - Now Accepting Applications

Interested Stockbridge youth (Rising 10th-12th grades) must apply by April 17, 2017
 
The City of Stockbridge is pleased to announce that it is now accepting applications for it's first-ever Youth Council.

The Mission of the Stockbridge Youth Council is to provide an opportunity for the youth of Stockbridge to build leadership skills, learn about civic responsibility, gain a better understanding of municipal government, prepare for a lifetime of public and community service and to acquire a greater knowledge of, and appreciation for, the American political system.

About the SYC
The group will begin meeting in June 2017, lasting  for approximately one year, and will renew members annually.
Applicants must reside within Stockbridge City limits, be rising 10th - 12th graders, and have a GPA of 2.5 or higher.  There is no cost to participate.

Applications must be received by the City Clerk No Later Than 5pm on April 17, 2017.
Candidates will be interviewed May 1 through May 5, 2017.
Successful candidates will be identified by May 8, 2017.
